The worlds largest dog - heaviest as well as longest dog - ever recorded was an Old English Mastiff named Zorba.
In 1989, Zorba weighed 343 lbs and was 8 feet 3 inches long from nose to tail!

Blending's Turtles are an indangered species of turtle?
When a Blending's turtle nests, she covers it with all sorts of sticks and rocks so preditors won't eat their eggs.
People can tell if the hatchling is a girl or a boy by figuring out what the temperature is inside the egg. if it is below 25 degrees, it is a boy if it is higher than 35 degrees, it's a girl. If the temperature is in between, it might be either or.
Blending's turtles put 5 to 15 eggs.

A cat is a felin their cousins(parents)are tigers, lions etc...
We can know they are families by the symilarity like when cats are chasing a mouse they go slowly and quietly until their prey. The tiger, lion etc. do the same.

Cats

If you are thinking of getting a pet, you should pick onethat fits in with your personality. Cats are calm and not verry active. If you are kind of a lazy or somebody that leaves the house a lot, a cat will be a good pet for you. Cats do not like strangers and can be bothered very easily. If a cat doesnt reconize you and you get close to it or pat it, he might go away. Don't be disapointed if in the first few days the cat keeps running away from you. He'll eventually get used to you. If the cat is on your lap and he goes away, don't run after it because he might be getting mad or tired of that.


GETTING READY


If you are getting a cat you should have a bed that he or she is comfortable with. Make sure you have a proper water dish and a food bowl. Make sure they are both clean. Always make sure he has CLEAN water to drink. You should wash the food and water bowl evry day. Make sure you have a vet to take care of your cat in any way. (Vaccines, etc.) Make sure you have toys for the cat to play so he doesn't scratch your furnitue. If he does, you shuld have a spray botlle with water in it so if he does something wrong, spray no more then ONCE and say "no". NEVER hit your cat. Make sure you have a space for your cat to pee or poop (territory). Only remove your cat's nails if you absolutely have to. If your cat scrathes you, it might be because he is mad so just leave him alone for some time. Make sure your cat is eating its food. If he isn't, talk to your vet.

Rabbits

Rabbits are the most popular symbol of easter. You shuold keep them in a cage make sure he has a good habbitat and it has enough food and water. Rabbits like to eat dandelions and carrots. Rabbits are the mammals that have the most ammount of babies in one year. They are more active at dawn. The snowshoe hare has the biggest feet. Rabbits jump that far because they have strong back legs. They come in a huge varity of breeds. If you have a rabbit, make sure he is happy of where he is living. If you have any questions or concerns, ask us in the Chat or ask your vet!! Rabbits are very smart animals. Make sure your rabbit is eating all its food. Rabbits do not bathe. Rabbits can be trained quickly. Rabbits are not recomended for small kids. Rabbits get scared verry easilly.

Dogs

How do I know a dog is the right animal for me? Answer the questions below.

1. Are you going to care about the dog even when he is old or sick?
2. Are you going to try to walk the dog at least once a day?
3. Are you going to try not to leave the dog alone at home for a long period of time?
4. Can you afford a vet to give any needed vaccine or care the dog in any way?
5. When you go on vacation do you have someone to look after the dog?

If you answered yes for most of the questions a dog is the right pet for you.



WHAT DOES PEDIGREE MEAN??


Pedigree is another name for "pure breed". All pedigree animals have a family the same breed. If an animal is NOT pedigree it´s family isn´t all the same breed.



Getting Ready!!


Before you take your dog home, make sure you have the right food (ask your vet.) Make sure you have a Vet and the right equipment. Always make sure your dog has CLEAN water to drink and his food bowl must be washed every day (same thing to the water bowl) dogs are very playful animals, so if you like to be active, a dog is perfect for you!! If you are worried or concerned about your dog, ASK YOUR VET!!
Dogs are verry enjoyfull animals and fun to play with. But just because your dog is cute it doesn´t mean he can do anything he feels like. Remember to train him!!! Dogs are also very smart animals. Make sure your dog is comfortable where he is. NEVER hit your dog.
